The Texans would like to congratulate Suzanne Bazemore on her new book Soccer: How It Works.
The book targets youth soccer players who already know the rules of the game and want to understand the science of it. It is a Sports Illustrated Kids book published by Capstone Publishers and is part of The Science of Sports series.
The book can be found at Amazon.com by clicking HERE.
Bazemore's son Scott is a member of the DTH 99 Legend. We still don't know how she got Lionel Messi on the cover, but we will find out.

TWO FORMER TEXANS TAKEN IN THE MLS DRAFT
Congratulations to Mauro Fuzetti and Euan Holden who were selected in the MLS Super Draft.
Former DTH 88 Red player, Mauro Fuzetti, was selected in the third round of the Major League Soccer draft by the Kansas City Wizards. An attacking player by trade, Fuzetti scored 23 goals and added 15 assists in his four years with the Michigan Wolverines, making First Team All-Big Ten twice in the process.
“This is a dream come true” said Fuzetti. “I’m very thankful for everyone that has helped me get to this point, especially my parents. I also want to thank Coach Lee, Coach Ken, Coach Carl, and everyone at the Texans for helping me get to this level. If the Texans hadn’t brought the University of Michigan in to the Texans College ID Program in Houston, I may have never fulfilled my college dreams at Michigan, which has propelled me to the MLS.”
Another former member of the DTH 88 Red, Euan Holden, was selected by the Houston Dynamo with their final pick in the draft. Euan is the younger brother of Stuart Holden, who played for the Texans 85 Red. The younger Holden, who will turn 22 on the second day of training camp, played two years at New Mexico after beginning his collegiate career at UConn.
Holden shares his excitement about getting drafted. “It is great to follow in the footsteps of other Texans players, like my older brother, who have gone on to play in Major League Soccer.”
